Welcome to the Online Keyboarding Test

How many words per minute (WPM) can you type? The Service Advisor Academy™ has provided a complimentary online program for you to test your keyboarding skills.

Be sure to read the browser requirements. For your convenience, we have also provided testing instructions for taking the test.

Browser Requirements

The following Keyboarding Test application you are about to take requires a Java 1.1 web browser.

Major compatible web browsers include: Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, Mozilla Firefox and Apple's Safari.

Java™ Runtime:
If your browser does not have the Java™ Runtime plug-in installed (if you open the test window and you see a large box with a red X inside of it, then your computer does not have the Java™ Runtime installed), you will need to download this free software in order to use the online keyboarding test.

Testing Instructions

1.	If this is the first time you are taking the keyboarding test, you may see a Security Warning box appear. CLICK the Always button to proceed past this message.
2.	Once the keyboarding test application loads, select the test you will be taking from the drop-down menu and read the instructions. When you are ready, CLICK the Begin button.
3.	Notice the timer and WPM counter in the upper-right corner of the window. This will keep track of how much time you have remaining and your approximate Words Per Minute (WPM) as you take the test. Your WPM will likely fluctuate during the test duration. While you are taking the test, ignore these counters.
4.	The current word that you are supposed to type will be underlined in blue. As soon as you type the first word, the time will start.
5.	When the timer has finished, the test will automatically end and you will be presented with an overview of your Gross WPM and Net WPM, as well as your errors and accuracy. CLICK Next.
6.	To receive an email of your results, enter your name, email address and company name you are employed with in the fields provided and check the checkbox next to "Send a copy of these results to your email address." CLICK Next.
7.	CLICK Next to retake this test or another, or close your browser window to leave the keyboarding test.
